धर्माय यशसेऽर्थाय कामाय स्वजनाय च । पञ्चधा विभजन्वित्तमिहामुत्र च मोदते ।। (श्रीमद्भागवत ८.१९.३७)
धर्म के लिये, यश के लिये, धनवृद्धि के लिये, भोग्यपदार्थो के सेवन के लिये तथा सगे सम्बन्धियों के लिये पाँच प्रकार से धन का – विभाग अर्थात् उपयोग और विनियोग करनेवाला लोक तथा परलोक में प्रमुदित होता है।।
Essence
The one who distributes wealth in five ways, i.e., for the sake of religion, righteous fame, for increasing wealth, for consumption of luxuries and for the benefit of related people or family, is happy in this world and the other lokas after departing from here.
