अर्थसिद्धिं परामिच्छन् धर्ममेवादितश्चरेत्। न हि धर्माददैत्यर्थः स्वर्गलोकादिवामृतम् ।।
(महाभारत – उद्योगपर्व ३७. ४८)

“जो अर्थकी पूर्ण सिद्धि चाहता हो, उसे आरम्भसे धर्मका ही आचरण करना चाहिए। जैसे स्वर्गसे अमृत दूर नहीं होता; वैसे ही धर्मसे अर्थ अलग नहीं होता।।”

Essence

The verse from Mahabharata bridges dharma and artha by comparing them with heaven (swarga) and divine nectar (amrita). It states that one who wishes to achieve wealth, must follow dharma and behave like a dharmika from the very beginning. Just like amrita is not far from swarga, similarly wealth is not far from dharma.
