पितॄन् देवानृषीन् विप्रानतिथींश्च निराश्रयान् । यो नरः प्रीणयत्यन्नैस्तस्य पुण्यफलं महत् ।।

जो देवताओं, पितरों, ऋषियों, ब्राह्मणों, अतिथियों और निराश्रयोंको अन्नसे तृप्त करता है, उसे महान् पुण्यफलकी प्राप्ति होती है।।
