पितॄन् देवानृषीन् विप्रानतिथींश्च निराश्रयान् । यो नरः प्रीणयत्यन्नैस्तस्य पुण्यफलं महत् ।।

जो देवताओं, पितरों, ऋषियों, ब्राह्मणों, अतिथियों और निराश्रयोंको अन्नसे तृप्त करता है, उसे महान् पुण्यफलकी प्राप्ति होती है।।
Essence
One who satisfies the gods, ancestors, sages, brahmins, guests and the destitute with food gains great punya.
