There are many controversies, doubts and distortions pertaining to the varna-jati system (what is commonly called the caste system).
This series, based on teachings of Pujayapad Puri Shankaracharyaji, helps us understand the concept of varna as per vedas and shastras rather than the several distorted forms of the system with new castes that have been introduced over a period of time through forces that are not aligned with dharma.
Is our varna or caste birth based or karma based? Are jati and varna the same? What is the basis or logic behind the varna system and how does it facilitate us in our spiritual journey? Such questions and more shall be answered through this series.
