This entry is part 1 of 4 in the series Covid19 Vaccine Series

The COVID-19 vaccines have been rolled out at lightning speed, skipping crucial clinical trial steps and long term studies, due to the urgent epidemic scenario that was projected.

Let’s look at the two main vaccines available in Bharata, their manufacturers, their alliances and impact on dharma.

Covishield (Serum Institute of India) and Covaxin (Bharat Biotech) that have been used for the massive vaccination drive in India.

Covishield (Serum Institute of India)

Covishield is the same product as the AstraZeneca vaccine that is available in other parts of the world. It is license manufactured in India by Serum Institute in collaboration with AstraZeneca. Covishield was the vaccine of choice for majority of the population in India, that took the vaccines. It was much cheaper and was produced at a faster rate, due to being a ChAdOx1 type of vaccine.

Originally a majority public funded initiative under Oxford University (97%), the vaccine was initially intended to be given to qualifying manufacturers to produce without paying royalties. The Bill and Melinda gates foundation was an additional funder of the initial development of this vaccine.

Oxford University initially said any vaccine it developed would be open to qualified manufacturers to produce without paying royalties, and priced either at cost or at a small profit. However, by August 2020, the University decided to change course. It entered an exclusive licensing agreement with the British-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca. Initially it was reported that this was under urging of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, but as per further clarification from the foundation, the signing over of exclusive rights to AstraZeneca was done under advise from other groups as well. Serum Institute of India has also been funded by The Bill and Melinda gates foundation subsequently, if not earlier.

Important to note that AstraZeneca (Covishield) was banned in several countries due to the high risks of blood clotting.

There was an official GOI tweet about the same:

Covishield being an AdenoVirus vectored vaccine (ChAdOx1), poses lots of safety issues as following article explains in detail –

Oxford/Astrazeneca/Serum Institute/Sputnik/JohnsonJohnson: adenovirus-vectored vaccines will give rise to adenovirus related (neurological/cardiac/clotting) symptoms – hard to deny this

AstraZenca, the licensed manufacturer of Covishield, does not seem to have a great track record in terms of transparency and drug safety. In April 2010, it was reported that the company had to pay $520 million in fines to settle charges by the federal government of USA that it illegally marketed the anti-psychotic drug Seroquel to children and elderly patients for uses not approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Covaxin (Bharat Biotech)

Covaxin is a traditional inactivated virus vaccine. It was priced much higher than Covishield and production process was much slower due to it being an Inactivated Virus vaccine. Covaxin was also advertised as an indigenous vaccine from India.

Bharat Biotech is also funded by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation  on other projects.

ICMR is collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and inked an MoU with them in 2019.

Covaxin had its own share of safety issues as the following article in science.org shows.

Can we compare C19 Vaccines with Polio vaccines of the past?

While many have been comparing the use of COVID19 vaccines with older widely vaccines like the old traditional polio vaccine (commonly used example) we must remember that this is a big error. Vaccines are not developed so quickly. The Twitter thread below elaborates on the risks of rushing into the COVID19 vaccines.

Conflict with Hindu Dharma

Cows are sacred to Hindus. If you are unsure about this, kindly read more here and here.

There was a lot of discussion on the use of calf serum in the manufacturing of the Covaxin. The details of the same are available in the RTI below –

Download and read details here – https://awakenindiamovement.com/calf-serum-in-covid-jab/

Bovine derived materials are used in vaccine manufacturing is a known fact as is explained in this FDA article, an extract of which is shown below

So, even-though all vaccines might not directly contain cow serum, the fact that cows are harmed and cow components or parts are used (other than cow products) in the manufacturing of these vaccines, as admitted by the regulators themselves, makes these vaccines in direct conflict with Hindu dharma.

Also, there was a whole talk about Covaxin being an “indigenous product”. It is an irony since this, so called “homegrown” vaccine does not even consider our ancient civilisational cow worshipping roots.

The Shankaracharya of Puri had stated that if methods prescribed by Ayurveda were encouraged, we would get the needed cure for COVID 19 within the limits of our dharmik  view.

In the name of the Corona Virus there is an attempt to make us lose our dharma, such is the foreign conspiracy.
