While giving a talk in Pune on December 17, 2024, RSS President Sri Mohan Bhagwat said, “After the construction of Ram Mandir some people think they can become leaders of Hindus by raking up the similar issues in new places. This is not acceptable.”

His statement naturally invoked a strong retaliation from Hindus and their dharma Gurus.

As reported by the Daily Chhattisgarh on 27 December, 2024, Raipur, Jagadguru Puri Shankaracharyaji expressed His views on the same. The below is based (and translated from) on the news report.

Since he has to speak for 12 months, Dr. Bhagwat says anything
– Shankaracharya Svami Nischalananda Saraswatiji Maharaj

Jagadguru said that in the process of becoming a svayam sevak, Mohan Bhagwat is becoming the director of everything or “sarva sanchalak”. Since he has to speak for 12 months in a year, he ends up saying just anything but in due course of time gets embarrassed and then says that everyone has the right to criticise his speeches. We must not seek the sign of a Hindu in Mohan Bhagwat. He does not have to be condemned but must be pitied.

The President of RSS Dr.Mohan Bhagwat is in Raipur on a five day tour. Jagadguru Puri Shankaracharyaji said that Dr.Mohan Bhagwat, the President of RSS is not endorsed by Guru, Govinda and the Peeth (Puri).

Jagadguru said that Mohan Bhagwat has only “sangh bal” or collective strength. He does not have the support of Guru, Govinda and Peeth. In front of these the position of Bhagwat is very small.

Jagadguru Puri Shankaracharyaji also said that the population of Hindus must not reduce. There should be a balance between the population and means of livelihood. He mentioned that while lions have a small population, a single lion is enough.

Earlier, Mohan Bhagwat used to say that one must have three children but later he recommended two (हम दो हमारे दो). Even if lions are less in number, without family planning and abortions, the population must be balanced.

Till Hindus are secure, others are secure too.
