To succeed in life, we need to take the support of a guru, grantha (scriptures) and Govinda. It is impossible to gain knowledge on our own merit, without taking this support. It is only with the help of these three, can we cross the ocean – “samsara”. Hence, these are called “the three taaraks” (taarak means that which can help us cross the ocean of samsara).

Why do we need all three – Guru, Govinda & Grantha?

If we have a guru who does not accept the authority of the granthas and Govinda – he is not a genuine guru. A genuine guru will not keep us away from the wisdom of granthas and Govinda.

If a grantha does not serve Govinda – of what use would it be to us?

Without the help of a guru, we cannot understand or interpret the complex knowledge in the granthas. A guru helps us establish our faith in the granthas and Govinda.

The guru himself needs the strength of granthas and Govind.

Let us take refuge in Guru, Grantha & Govinda!
