There was a person named Sumiran Pujan belonging to a śūdra family. He lived as a member of the āśrama where Pujyapad Puri Shankaracharyaji was living as a brahmacārī, in Naimisharanya.
This person could not stay without fighting. Routinely, all the brāhmaṇas would cook, eat and serve the food to all the sādhakas of various varṇas – kṣatriya, vaiśya, śūdra, etc.
On one occasion, Sumiran Pujanji was given six-seven rotis on asking for just four. It was observed that Sumiranji did not get an opportunity to express his anger that whole day (including the potential for an argument over the number of rotis served). It was popularly known that he will not be at peace unless he has had a good chance to unleash his temper.
Instead of eating his lunch, he took the food and kept it in his room. Then, he took an axe and started violently cutting a babool tree, abusing it with immense anger.
He was so hot-tempered that on having no occasion to express his anger on humans, he attacked the tree. Some people are like this by nature.
